SYNOPSIS ( CLICK HERE TO READ )
Despite the tumor-shrinking medical miracle that has bought her a few years, Hazel has never been anything but terminal, her final chapter inscribed upon diagnosis. But when a gorgeous plot twist named Augustus Waters suddenly appears at Cancer Kid Support Group, Hazel's story is about to be completely rewritten.

Insightful, bold, irreverent, and raw, The Fault in Our Stars is award-winning author John Green's most ambitious and heartbreaking work yet, brilliantly exploring the funny, thrilling, and tragic business of being alive and in love.

“My thoughts are stars I cannot fathom into constellations.”
Aku baru aja selesai baca ulang buku ini. Dan semakin kupikir-pikir lagi, aku makin pengen ngilangin satu bintang. Sorry for the hard core fans, tapi buku ini gak lagi kuanggap sebagai favoritku. Ya ya ya. Pengen tau pastinya dong? Tiba-tiba ngilangin satu bintang dari buku ini? Jawabannya simpel, mungkin aku emang gak suka romance.

Apa pointnya muter-muter disini? Karna aku mau ngasih review tanpa spoiler, tentu aja aku gak bakal ngasih tau. Pas konflik puncaknya, aku cuman bilang, SO WHAT? Terus apa? Okey, boong sih, bergerak, cuman lambat. Ceritanya di awal udah dibangun sedemikian menarik, eh! di tengah-tengah? Itu bener-bener flat, flat, flat. No offense. :( Sayang banget, padahal awalnya udah bagus.

Tapi untuk masalah apakah John Green nulis buku yang enjoyable or not? Udah pasti dia bisa bikin semua orang jatuh cinta sama gaya bahasanya yang oke banget. Dia bisa banget bikin aku yang tadinya cuman pengen baca satu chapter, jadi keterusan sampe 15 chapter! HAHA! Good job, Mr. Green!

Dia rada berperan penting disini.

Apa yang aku rasain selama baca beberapa chapter awal? Menarik. Chapter tengah? WTH. Chapter akhir? Cry all the time. :"""( Yak, ni buku emang pinter banget bikin orang nangis. Hahahaha pokoknya betapa ni buku bikin kita sedih:" tapi pas baca kedua, entah kenapa cuman HAMPIR NANGIS. Aku udah berharap aku bakalan nangis lagi, eh ternyata engga dan menurutku itu rada ngecewain. Maksudku aku baca buku Harry Potter and the Order of Phoenix dua kali, dan dua-duanya bikin nangis sampe sesenggukan. Well? Seharusnya sih ni buku tetep bikin aku nangis walaupun aku udah baca sebelumnya. Tapi yah, bikin nangis aku pertama kali aja udah awesome, karena dicatet ya, aku bukan jenis orang yang gampang tersentuh atau nangis. Bukan jenis orang yang liat sesuatu sedih terus nangis. HEHE:D Jahat sih, cuman ya emang gitu, mau gimana lagi? ._.

“The world is not a wish-granting factory.”

“I'm in love with you," he said quietly.

"Augustus," I said.

"I am," he said. He was staring at me, and I could see the corners of his eyes crinkling. "I'm in love with you, and I'm not in the business of denying myself the simple pleasure of saying true things. I'm in love with you, and I know that love is just a shout into the void, and that oblivion is inevitable, and that we're all doomed and that there will come a day when all our labor has been returned to dust, and I know the sun will swallow the only earth we'll ever have, and I am in love with you.”

Oh iya, aku baru inget. Semuanya inspiring :)

“There will come a time when all of us are dead. All of us. There will come a time when there are no human beings remaining to remember that anyone ever existed or that our species ever did anything. There will be no one left to remember Aristotle or Cleopatra, let alone you. Everything that we did and built and wrote and thought and discovered will be forgotten and all of this will have been for naught. Maybe that time is coming soon and maybe it is millions of years away, but even if we survive the collapse of our sun, we will not survive forever. There was time before organisms experienced consciousness, and there will be time after. And if the inevitability of human oblivion worries you, I encourage you to ignore it. God knows that’s what everyone else does.”

“It's a metaphor, see: You put the killing thing right between your teeth, but you don't give it the power to do its killing.”

“There are infinite numbers between 0 and 1. There's .1 and .12 and .112 and an infinite collection of others. Of course, there is a bigger infinite set of numbers between 0 and 2, or between 0 and a million. Some infinities are bigger than other infinities. A writer we used to like taught us that. There are days, many of them, when I resent the size of my unbounded set. I want more numbers than I'm likely to get, and God, I want more numbers for Augustus Waters than he got. But, Gus, my love, I cannot tell you how thankful I am for our little infinity. I wouldn't trade it for the world. You gave me a forever within the numbered days, and I'm grateful.”
